K. Denise Haire - Best Lawyers, 2027 Edition
West Palm Beach, FL — Haire Law Firm, PA is pleased to announce that founding attorney K. Denise Haire has been recognized in the 2027 edition of The Best Lawyers in America® in two practice areas: Commercial Litigation and Litigation - Land Use and Zoning.
Best Lawyers is one of the oldest and most respected peer-review publications in the legal profession. For more than four decades, Best Lawyers in America has followed a process in which lawyers are nominated by their peers and then confidentially evaluated by other attorneys practicing in the same field and geographic market. Lawyers do not pay to be included, and nominees cannot vote for themselves, making the recognition a reflection of professional reputation among fellow practitioners rather than advertising or self-promotion.
Ms. Haire is a Florida Bar Board-Certified Specialist in City, County & Local Government Law with two decades of experience in litigation and appellate matters. Prior to founding Haire Law Firm, she served as Assistant City Attorney for the City of West Palm Beach, where she advised municipal boards and departments and represented the city in land use litigation and appellate proceedings. Her practice today focuses on representing local governments, developers, property owners, and private entities in land use, zoning, administrative, and governmental law in both litigation and appellate matters throughout South Florida.
This recognition adds to a growing list of professional honors for Ms. Haire, who was also named to Florida Trend's Legal Elite Notable Women Leaders in Law in 2024.
Haire Law Firm, PA provides dedicated, results-oriented legal counsel in appellate, municipal, and litigation matters, proudly serving clients throughout South Florida.
Leaders In Law
K. Denise Haire recognized as Legal Elite Notable Women Leaders in Law
The list of Legal Elite Notable Women Leaders in Law, it seems, is becoming even more distinctive and difficult for inclusion. Of course, the list has always been highly competitive, recognizing women in the legal industry who not only excel, but also are outstanding in multiple ways outside their offices.
Yet, simply, the numbers of women attorneys — as well as top performers — are steadily rising across the state. In 2023, more than one-quarter (28%) of all law firm partners in Florida were women, according to the National Association of Law Placement’s 2023 Report on Diversity in U.S. Law Firms. By comparison, in 2013 women accounted for 20% of law firm partners nationwide.
And, during that same time in Florida, the number of active lawyers increased nearly 24%, the nation’s highest growth rate. The tally includes both men and women, but it doesn’t take much to draw a conclusion. So, this year’s list? It’s filled with top performers today and the promise of much more to come in the future.
Board Certified
K. Denise Haire receives Board Certification in City, County, and Local Government Law
The Board of Legal Specialization and Education congratulates the 129 lawyers who recently earned Florida Bar board certification, which recognizes attorneys’ special knowledge, skills, and proficiency in various areas of law and professionalism and ethics in practice.
Board certified lawyers are “Evaluated for Professionalism and Tested for Expertise.”
Florida’s legal ranks currently feature over 5,000 board-certified attorneys, offering expertise in 27 areas of law. With just one in 20 Florida Bar members able to call themselves “board certified,” it clearly is a crucial component in the career of any attorney looking to emerge from the crowd.
As the legal landscape grows increasingly competitive, board-certified lawyers are able to use their status to set themselves apart from peers. And a growing number of Bar members are exploring board certification to help stand out in what they see as a crowded landscape.
